After a full week of downpouring rain this week, I noticed these teeny tiny skinny light grey bugs on the outside of the coop. When I opened the coop door I noticed them in the door jams but none inside that I could find anyways.

I quickly checked all my girls and their vents are clean.

Could these be some type of wood mite? I read that they are attracted to damp wood and with all the rain this week it makes sense.

Would these guys irritate my chickens?

I can't find any picture online that really match the description of my bugs. What would you do?

The bug is smaller than a grain of rice so it's hard to take a pic that isn't blurry. They are about the size of those tiniest ants you find, maybe a bit larger.

Don't think it's a sowbug because I have plenty of those around and they are much much larger.

I'm stumped! Should I spray the coop in case?

Put one in a jar, freeze it, and put it on a white piece of cardboard to get a better picture. Then let the chickens eat them!!!
