Hello all, I'm new here but it's looks like there's lots of people who know what they're talking about around here!

I found this in the rafters of a garage I bought. The lady who owned the property before had chickens and I'm guessing it's something for chicks. It has a Makomb decal on one side and it's electric. Kind of scared to just plug it in since the wiring is really old. Can anyone direct me to some literature on this thing?

    Thank you very much!

Its a gas Hover. Made to keep a lot of chicks warm. I do not have any links. I use a home-made electric hover----I call it a "mother hen".
