Need help incubating egg

My Japanese rooster mated with my Japanese hen and now we have a fertile egg, but i have a problem..

I don’t have a incubator.
Im keeping it warm on top of my pellet stove, i put a cloth on top and a cloth over it and it seems to be staying at a very nice temperature. Being the first day this might sound crazy, but i saw some very faint veining.

I have no idea if i’ll be getting a 2nd egg tomorrow because she hasn’t been laying, but im hoping she does because she is the only one he’s able to successfully mate (shes lower on the pecking order)

So heres the problems, one fertile egg and no incubator.

Obviously we will be getting a incubator if this survives, but im getting a cheap one so if anyone has cheap incubator suggestions that would be appreciated!

So my questions:

Is this current method good for now? (Atleast for a few days?) I have been turning the egg and its on its side.

What should i do for another chick if she doesn’t lay? Will TSC carry chicks in time? Probably not.

Why are you incubating it if you don't have an incubator and aren't ready for chicks? I would never ever recommend a "cheap" incubator. They're a complete waste of money and will leave you with much heartbreak. An NR 360 incubator is pretty cheap and still a very good incubator.

We just got this egg today and i would like to hatch it.
Im okay with around $50 or so, i want to give the egg the best chance of survival, so if cheap ones are trash then i’ll buy a less cheap one.

Eggs can be stored for almost two weeks before incubating. Why don't you gather some eggs, buy a real incubator, and THEN start incubating?

I will do that then, is it to late though now that is has developed veining and been heated?

If it has veining then yes. I would toss that egg and wait until you are prepared to hatch anymore.

I don’t want to toss it, i’ll just go get a incubator tomorrow and get some eggs.

Will it survive the night with the set up it has?

And does he have to mate after each egg?

Before you put any more eggs in your new incubator, gather the amount you want first. The eggs can be stored on your counter for a few weeks and still be viable. Adding more eggs after you've already started the first one will lead to a staggered hatch, and that can be hard to manage if you are inexperienced. If you are really set on hatching this egg, you can try and see if it hatches, but I would throw it out and start all the eggs at the same time.

No, im not aware of the humidity and temp for where they currently are. I know it’s important, i just figured they could survive the night being there.

Can you explain how its harder? (I know it is, im just curious what makes it hard.) Is it because you need different temperature and humidity for different stages?

Wouldn't have any veining in first day of incubation and I would have to believe it is way too hot siting on your pellet stove.
