Need help modifying A-frame for better roosting

So what kind of boards then? The same as I have or bigger? And how many boxes again for 7 hens?
I am thinking I can cut the floor out on the left side and run staggered bars the full length of the A frame. And then put the nesting boxes on the opposite side on the flooring that is left. The A frame is approximately 8 feet long so that would be 2 bars about 7-1/2 feet hopefully? But if I keep the very middle open I can still get inside to the boxes.
I know this may seem silly to some but I am doing the best with what I have. I can't buy a big fancy coop or build one on my own. I really just want to make it better for them and do right by then as I love having them. The prefab takes up room, if I can empty it, that I would like to use to enhance their run and keep them more busy as I can't let them free range anymore.

Okay I made some real changes this weekend. And the whole a frame is enclosed. some wire on the bottom lower part for ventilation but all bars are covered from rain and wind with 3 different bars spaced further apart. I've still only got 2 boxes like recommended but how will that work with pecking order? I had 5 and honestly they fussed over them with 5. But I want to remove the prefab completely. Should I phase it out in steps or just do everything at once?
