need help my chickens keep eating there eggs

hello i need help my chickens just started eating there eggs just monday i got 4 eggs and then tuesday i only got 2 and after that nothing i have 6 hens laying and but no eggs what do i do i tryed hot sauce as my friend told me he did but it didnt work they ate it faster if anything i used habanero hot sauce please help thank you

Really sorry to hear that.

Lots of threads here with advice to try. Gather the eggs quickly, check for snakes, increase the protein level of their feed, and so on.
I'd research here and try what I could to save my flock.

First thing I'd do is separate to find the culprits. Maybe it is only 2 and the other 4 can be saved. The habit likely has spread amongst the flock. Something has to give. If I couldn't break an egg eater, she'd be soup very, very quickly.

yes im thinking that but they all seem to be eating them i was watching them for a few hours around the time i get eggs and saw all the chickens chasing one for the shell thank you for the advice

If they are laying soft shell eggs and they break they will eat them. All hens will peck at their eggs to make sure that they don't break. I would make sure they have oyster shell. Good luck you could also put in golf balls to confuse them. Chickens can not taste hot so nothing hot will work

Sometimes, if they are all eating the eggs... you make stew and start over....

I made a thread about this a while ago and so it also happened to me. Your hens need calcium. Give them oyster shells, try finding them to the closest store you have where you live. The oyster shells really helped my hens A LOT and stopped eating the eggs.

yesterday i bought oyster shell bag i will mix it with there food i hope it works i really dont wanna get ride of my chickens and start over

I would make sure that I gather all eggs as soon as possible and replaceing them with a ceramic or wood egg. They will peck at the fake egg with no results and eventually they will give up, at least that is what happened with mine.
