Need help on hatching in homemade incubator

Hi all, I have hatched both chicken and quail eggs before, but need a little bit of wisdom. I have a styrofoam incubator with 19 eggs in it that just started pipping this evening. I have a 2.5 dozen egg crate that the eggs are sitting in. This is the first time I have used an egg crate, should I remove the eggs from the crate to make it easier for the chicks to hatch or does it matter? Thanks for any help. Mac

Evening update, started this morning which is day 21 with 2 pipped late last night. 1 was hatched when I went to check at 6:30 A.M., ended 9p.m. with 10 healthy looking Dominique chicks 52.635% if no others hatch.
