I can get more pics if needed. I bought 10 of these from tractor supply, looks like they are all hens. I need to get a rooster for them, and i am not even sure of the breed. This pic was taken a couple months back. I can get more current pics of them, Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

That is a red sex link...all the chickens that are that breed and that color will be hens. The males of the same breed are usually pure white with a little bit of color around the neck. You can NOT get the same breed by breeding these...since they are a crossbreed already.

What kind of rooster would i use then?

You can use any rooster you want, you're not going to get any pure bred out of her - or any chicks that will be sex linked at birth. Sorry

Okay, thanks for the help. Maybe i will just use them for eating eggs. I have other breeds, buffs, cornish rocks, americanas i can breed for chicks.

I agree with aoxa. They look like the Golden Sex Links (there are lots of brand names for red sex links as you can see by googling if interested) I used to have, which were a cross between Rhode Island Red and Rhode Island White. So you can put a roo in with them and the resulting chicks will have some Rhode Island Red blood in them. Nothing wrong with mixes!!!!

Sex-links lay beautiful extra large brown eggs. You should be very happy with them.

My father had 3 Red Sex-links hens and he threw a Buff Orpington Roo with them. The chicks feathered out into a Golden Red Color. They didnt have as much feathers as an Orpington so they were easy to pluck. Plus there skin was white so it looked nice on the dinner table. and they hens layed many eggs and some even went broody. But as with all mutts you never know what youre going to get. :)
