Need help picking what chickens to raise

I'll be purchasing some land and want to raise chickens. I want to raise for eggs and as well as poultry. I need help learning about different breeds and things I should know. I also want to sell chickens and eggs on the side.

You will probably be more interested in "dual purpose" breeds, which means good layers with enough meat on 'em to make it worth processing for food.
