I am reading a book about gardening with chickens and that is how we got started. I have 9 raised beds, so far, and I designed a triangle chicken tractor to fit on them. They are all 4x8. I wanted to get my chickens this weekend because I have had to plant in 5 boxes already. I wanted the chickens to clear out all of the bugs from the beds, I had squash bugs last year, grubs and slugs. And of course to fertilize it. So they did one bed the first day and I had a lot of grass growing in three other beds and in another day or so they will have devoured all the grass and aerated the soil. Then the tractor will move to the next bed until they are all done.
