Need help please with strawberry jam

I'm making strawberry jam this morning and I'm out of stick butter. Does anyone know if I can use the soft spread in the bowl? Or do I have to run to the store?

Yes, you can....it does not have to have it. It will be ok to leave it out....you are talking about the 1 teaspoon...RIGHT?
