Need help Roos or hene

I purchased 9 baby chicks and was told they were all pullets. 3 golden comets 3 barred rock and 3 those island reds. However I believe all are roosters except the goldens. All the hatred rosck look like this one. And the reds all look this one. Please help since they are all in the same coop and run together.

They are 12 weeks and one of the barred rocks does crow. However I read hens could possibly crow if there is no rooster around.

It’s highly rare for pullets at that age to do that. I would say whoever is crowing at 12 weeks is a definite cockerel.

i believe 6 are roosters I will remove the hens but can all 6 roosters stay together in the same pen?

It looks like a LOT of people are finding that they ended up with more cockerels than pullets! I ended up with 5 out of 8...

Lots of discussions in other similar threads about making a bachelor pen, and the management considerations. Seems the teenagers can get rough w each other, but calm down w maturity.

It is an option, and I hope you are able to get them sorted out soon.

What kind of chickens did you get? How are you able to tell the difference?

Those are all cockerels at 12 weeks.
