Need HELP Selecting a good affordable Incubator???

The RCom Suro is an option, as well. It has all the same features as the Brinsea Octagon advanced, but at a $250 price tag instead of $400.

Mine is definitely "set and forget," and is holding rock solid temps and humidity. The only time it hasn't has been when I'VE screwed up, and even then it's been very forgiving! It returns to temperature and humidity settings very quickly once I've fixed my mistakes.

It's a newer entry on the market, but thus far, my very limited experience with it has been very good.

Well I was going to buy a Brinsea ECO 20 with auto turner for $212 but does it regisiter humidity??? It says : There is no facility for humidity measurement control....

The nice thing about the Brinsea is you can build on it. The base model is $99, you can later add the turner for $50. Or you can get the advanced for $300 and buy the humidity pump for $124 at a later time. You can also get 1 advance and 1 basic eco and have 2 advance models. The top is interchangeable. Every other day you switch tops. 1 BYCer does it with great success. The best prices for new seem to come directly from Brinsea.com web specials. They also have different sales during the year. Mine was discounted $120 in December.

Thanks for your advice guys... I bought a Brinsea 20 Eco with the auto turner today on the Brinsea website. Total was $150 plus 37 for shipping... Does anyone know about how long it takes to get your incubator shipped to you??? I have eggs I'm hoping to put in it if it comes soon... Also I would like some feedback from others that use this bator on what temps and humidity and procedures worked well with this bator... Thanks
My two cents on styro bators: I had a Genisis 1588 before and had a 100% hatch with local large sized eggs the first use and a 0% hatch a month later with bantam shipped eggs. In the bantam eggs one made it to peep and drowned and the others only made it to half development. Humidity was a big problem the second time and I had a hard time getting it to stabilize. I think the reason the first bunch all hatched out was because I was new to incubating and did not know I was supose to add water until the eggs were in the third week and then I just kept it at 30%-50% until they hatched. So my advice is that the styro bators do better with the dry hatches... I only used it those two times before my toddler decided to use it for a stepping stool

So I hope the Brinsea is going to hold up better to my rugrats.
