Need Help Sexing Blue Ameraucanas Please

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! I was trying to take it slow, but moving back and forth daily is getting to be a chore. I will probably wait a few more days. I appreciate the advice about the cockerels, too. I am pretty sure that I will keep the black copper roo. I'd love to get a splash hen to breed with him. We've had our hens for one year now, and I am addicted. :) The mixing, breeding, and hatching is all new, but I am excited about learning.

Thank you, again!

My pleasure.

I have some blue copper Marans, and they are the prettiest birds in my flock. I crossed them with a blue Ameraucana and made some Olive Egger babies, and it looks like that cross will make some attractive birds as well. They are my prettiest chicks right now and I can't wait to see what color eggs they lay.

Yes, my blue copper hens are my favorite-such pretty girls. I had thought about crossing with Ameraucana roo for olive eggs, too. It really just depends on how it goes with the roos. Not sure my hubby wants to keep too many. I imagine they are really pretty. I'd be interested in seeing your eggs when you get them. :)
