Hey there! So this spring we impulse bought 4 little bantam chicks from the local feed store. We chose just one of the 20 blue chicks in the bin, and 3 other breeds.
Well, we got lucky with 3 hens and one roo. But our little rooster, affectionately named Faramir, is a mystery to me. When he was younger I thought self blue OEGB, but now that he is mature, he is the wrong blue, and has orange. So that's out. I have scoured the internet with no luck, so I come to y'all for help!
He is absolutely gorgeous, and we are all very attached to him, and I want to know the breed and find a couple hens to breed him! I'm really praying he isn't a mixed breed. But being that there was a lot more blue chicks in the bin, I'm hoping Im just missing the breed.
*Note: he is clean legged, blueish grey legs. Also has a bit of a beard/muffs on his face.
