First time hatching silky eggs. Two came out of the incubator just fine. Waited for another set of two to hatch but realized they needed help when one of them died after 24 hr. Read everything I could and prep'd, waiting for the poor baby to finish the job in the incubator (Poor chick was stuck for 36 hrs). Thank goodness for having a spare incubator. My question is if my baby makes it out of the incubator, what can I do to help it have a better chance at survival?

A clean, soft floor (shavings or bedding pellets), 95 degrees, fresh clean water with a little sugar or chick vitamins, starter crumbles, and good ventilation are key to success.

My chick so far is making it, but I'm having to feed it by hand at the moment. The chick doesn't seem to understand that it can feed itself and drink the water. Have to check on him every 2 hrs, if not he seems to take a turn for the worse. Thought I was going to lose him one time, was a half hour late, but after a lot of TLC he made it. He's not growing much, in fact he's still the size of a hatchling and his siblings are almost twice his size. Will he ever catch up to them? Worried he might not fit into their group.

I hate to say it, but if he's still not growing and unable to feed himself after five days, it's likely he has an underlying developmental or internal problem that caused the initial inability to hatch, and is causing continued lack of growth.

I'm sorry. I hope I'm wrong, and that he pulls through, but by five days old they're usually running around the brooder and scratching chick feed out all over the floor and generally being adorable little terrors.
