Need help...What color feed do chickens like the best?...science fair!

Hey BYC peeps. The lil' dude is doing a chicken project for his science fair project. He has dyed safflower seeds red, yellow, green and blue. He wants to see which color of food they like the best. And why. I'm not biasing the results by telling you what we have found in his two tests so far. So which color, and why:

Red
Yellow
Green
Blue
Natural

I don't have poll capability so just reply with your answers.

I dunno. My first thought would be red, but I suspect they might also like yellow.

Yellow, maybe because it is the the color of corn.

Yellow because it is a bright color and their vision pick up bright colors better?

Keep them coming guys. We've got more tests scheduled for tomorrow.

The kiddo thought yellow because they are used to scratch as a treat, I thought natural. When we're done I'll post the results, and let you know how he did on the project.

I'm guess red, cause it's the same colour as their waterer...

Green -- because most of the foods they eat free-ranging are green. (give or take a few bugs, lol)
