Last Thursday my husband brought home 8 ducklings and 2 turkeys from a feed store. We already had 7 newly hatched chickens. The guy at the feed store told my husband it would be alright to put all the animals together in one container as long as we are feeding them medicated feed.
On Saturday on of the turkeys died and we are not sure why. She was eating and drinking just fine. Anyways, We had to seperate the ducks and the chicks and turkey yesterday because the ducks were getting water everywhere and the chicks and turkey were covered in poo. Since the chicks and turkey were so young we did not clean them up, we only cleaned out the container that they were living in at the time. Everything was fine and the chicks and turkey have been eating just fine.
About an hour ago I checked on the babies and my turkey is like gasping for air and is kind of laying their. I put him into his own box with food and water and he is under a heat lamp. Everytime I pick him up and starting cheeping and fighting for a few minutes and then he will go limp. Everyone once in a while he will just stand up and act like he is falling asleep. Is there anything I can do to save him.
I did notice yesterday that he had a little spot of blood in his poo and just now his poo was completely white. Not sure if that make any difference or not. Any suggestions?
