Need help with breed and or sex of this chicken

A friend had this little guy follow her into her garage in town. They asked around and no one had a clue who it belongs to or where it came from. I am now housing this youngster but can anyone tell me what breed or sex this may be?

Might be a little young to guarantee sex, but it doesn't scream cockerel! Breed wise, hmm its for sure 'black mottled' colour so I'd guess either Java, Ancona or maybe orpington, but I'd assume one of the first two since they're more common

thank you!! I had no clue on breed as it’s quite different than the chickens we have and I’m sooooo hoping no cockerel ... my rooster would be very mad at me if so!!

Black Australorp pullet. Sometimes young chickens will get some extra white feathers in, but in this case, not enough to be mottled

Just an update...Thanks again.... this little lady has really grown up To be a beautiful hen... Australorp? She will be my first of those if so!!
