need help with chicken tractor

I'm working on building a tractor, should I put chicken wire on the bottom or leave it bare? also, what can i do to protect it from predators?

Google hardware cloth apron (if they have to stand on wire all the time it is hard on their feet)- it may be what you are looking for.

Also- only 1/2 inch hardware cloth is rat and weasel proof. They kill chickens.

Also, having the bottom open lets them scratch for bugs....
