In the Brooder
Hi!
I have 3 ducks, and they are all supposed to be hens, but I'm worried my chocolate runner might be male. These are my first ducks and it's not that big of a deal if she is male, but I don't want ducklings, so if I need to seperate them, I'd like to know sooner rather than later. She was hatched on Sept 20, and she has very prominent green feather tips. She still has a brown head though. Is this normal? Do both males and female have this? Like I said, it's not a big deal if she is male, and it might also be too early to tell, but I can only have a max of about 5 ducks, and so any extra ducklings I have to find homes for, which isn't easy around here. I'll send pictures as soon as I can.
Thanks!
