Need help with injured chicken

MY chicken was attacked by my dog last night. I separated her and she is alive and alert this morning. The dog got her around the neck and pulled all her feathers off. They are still hanging from her "chin", or top of her neck. Her flesh is exposed. I saw her take a drink this morning, but noticed the water is coming out of her. SHe must have a small hole that we didn't see. Does anyone have some advice as to what to do. I bought some Blu-Kote, but have not yet used it.

How terrible! I don't have experience with this type of injury, but I would think other people have. I recommend you can do a search for 'dog attack,' I am sure you'll find a lot of post related to that topic. Hope your hen will recover.

Thanks for the response. I will look under "dog attacks" and see what i find. She is still alive and at times full of pep. Seems to be a good sign. Time will tell.
