Need help with lock down! :) duck egg

Ok I got this photo. On the right edge of the air cell there is a small triangular protrusion. Is that an internal pip or just beak pushing against the air cell? Thank you for all your help!

I dont know Im afraid, this is my first batch of chickens rather than quail and it all looks slightly different. Hopefully someone with more experience with have an opinion.

Well there's definitely an internal pip! So now I'm just waiting for the external pip. He's still moving in there, so I guess that's a good sign.

Thanks :) I saw him open his bill while in the air cell this evening which was pretty amazing to see. Other than that, no real change. Just hoping for an external pip soon, I don't want him to run out of air in there.

Update: He has started chirping and quite a lot! Also he is jabbing at the shell with his beak. Hoping it won't be long now before the pip!

Ooh not too long then. Just hit lockdown so trying not to keep looking through the glass at eggs that arent doing anything!

Lol Im not technical enough for that, but when the light isnt on and I shine the flashlight through the glass I can just make out the line of the air cell on my vertically incubated eggs, three have that triangle that you werent sure if it was an internal pip. One of those three is hard to see, but it looks like the beak is in the air cell properly. Tried to listen for chirping but as we have baby birds outside our window its hard to tell if its little duckie or them outside!

how are yours getting on, external pip yet?
