Need help with major chick "pecking" problem, advise needed!!!!

The purpose of the red lighting is to "overwash" any red points of injury. Under the red light, the red won't appear to be red, and the chickens will be much less likely to notice it.

Someone else on here swears by putting salt in the water....anyone else use that solution? Says it works 100% of the time...

a salt deficiency is associated with pecking however if you are feeding them a commercial feed , the correct amount of salt is in that feed. Aything extra will cause salt toxicity and this is vERY bad.
