Hey ya'll !!! i plugged my bator up to test it since I have eggs ordered from some of you to arrive in a few weeks and It would not turn.( It is an automatic one). Does anyone have a gently used one for sale at a reasonable price?? Thanks

i'm going to ask some "dumb" questions so just stick with me here.
1. what kind of bator is it?
2. what style of turner does it use?
3. are you looking for a whole new bator or just the turner?
4. you know, if worse comes to worse, you can turn by hand . . .
5. and don't upset, here comes the really dumb question - how do you know it doesn't work? most of them move so slowly that you can't see it with the naked eye. if you have a supermarket egg put it in the turner, plug the turner in and come back two hours later. if the egg is still in the same position the turner is, yup, broken but if not . . . you are good to go.

anywhoo, i hope this helps a little.
if you do need a new turner and/or a bator people to post them frequently so keep checking back. you can also try ebay - people do sell used ones there sometimes too.

good luck!

Thanks That is exactly what we did we put a few eggs in and a few hours later they were in the same spot. I do not see a name on the bator it is grey and looks like a big bowl with aclear top and the light bulb in the middle you pour the water in the bottom and it has 4 red air hole plugs in the top the turner inside is black . If I turn them by hand I have heard 2 times a day and also 3 times a day. My delima is .... I have a dozen silkie eggs on order and a dozen blue orpington eggs on order I can not afford to pay $50.00 for those eggs and have a disater!!!!!
