Need help With my healing coturnix.

I had one of my tuxedo coturnix get pecked really bad. The poor thing was pecked on its head & was bleeding I moved it & nursed it & its doing fine but is living alone. Should, I return it to her pen she has been isolated for 3 or 4 days now. I have two pens for my coturnix should I add her to the different pen?

Is she being pecked, or is it breeding damage? Does she have missing feathers, or is it just bleeding?

You can apply some Buekote or some Liquid Wound Care medicine to help heal the wounds. They also taste really badly and the others may leave the wound alone. I wouldn't mix her back in until the wound is no longer open and oozy like. Since you have two pens, try to figure out who will get along with this wounded girl and keep her with those separate in the other pen until she heals. In the mean time, pull out the meanie and keep that one separated alone for some time. Sometimes being gone a long time from the flock will take the meany down a bit. Or you could always have a BBQ tonight.

I guess she was pecked are maybe she bonked her head. It was just her head it was bad dripping blood I thought she wouldn't make it but their tuff little buggers. I applied ointment & she looks alot better. I don't want to cull her she's my only tuxedo. Maybe , I'll wait one more nite & return her to her neighbors pen.

You are disrupting the pecking order when you add a bird so they have to start all over again pretty much. If you add her after dark it's not so harsh a situation ,at least with mine,but they still will do some battling.i'd be sure she's well healed before returning her to a group .

Yes, make sure she is fully healed before you put her with any, but I wouldn't put her in with the ones she was with before. The easiest way to add new coturnix to a pen is to upset their territoriality. Remove all birds from the pen and move them all (along with the new one) to a different pen. This usually throws them off enough that they don't notice the new guy.
