Need help with my PVC feeder - Chickens throwing food on ground.

Sorrt to hear that, I wouldn't waste the food either, I would try putting another elbow on the other side but put it closer to the bottom of the bucket the smaller the area the less chance of them pulling it out, I will send a pic of how I cut the elbow.

Try moving the hole you drill down some in the bucket.

My husband built me a similar feeder but we used a curved 90 degree piece and he then added a short straight section in which he cut off half of the pipe and capped the end. The chickens don't knock out the food but we have wild life and feral cats that do from time to time but the chickens eat it up anyway.
