Need help with new to us goose

Update: Well once again it's been a long time since I have posted. My son continued to have struggles in our small town and decided one day that he need to move out and on with his life. He did just that but left duck with us. All was going well while my son was here but after he left, Duck got very lonely. No matter how much time we spent with him it was never enough and he would squawk non stop. When he did quite down if he heard us in the kitchen he would start right back up, until it got dark and he would go to sleep. I felt just awful for the poor guy.
Well one day a lady in a town over posted on FB looking for more geese to and to her flock, So I contacted her and she came and got him. She kept in contact with me and I thought she was going to bring him back because he wouldn't integrate with the rest of the flock. She said he was more like a dog then a goose, and she was right all he ever wanted to do was be at your side. It took a bit but finally a female took notice of him and they became a pair. He was no longer interested in being a dog lol and became part of the flock.

Fast forward to today, I just got 4 new baby chicks I'll share with you all on another thread.

@Miss Lydia my son is doing well, thank you for asking. I figured out my old user name and password so I will be posting under that from now on. It's hispoptart. Also before I forget, thank you for the advice on the fermented feed. Duck really enjoyed it.

Cool story! I'm glad Duck found a happy new home, and that your son is doing better. Just thinking back to the beginning of the story, your son may benefit from therapy. I have dealt with depression for a long time and a few years of therapy really helped. I don't mean to pry, and not sure exactly what his particular issues are (we all have some!) You're a good mom, for letting Duck the goose mov in!
