Need Help With Pastey Chick

My blue cochin chick, Fuzzy, is the fluffiest thing. I've been dealing with a bad bum on this one for a while. Her bum gets better, and then worse. The brooder temp is ideal, so I don't think she's pasting because of a chill. I think it's just because her tushy is so darn fuzzy!!! I've been cleaning, drying, and lubbing her with olive oil, but I think she's pecking at her bottom because of this and it looks sore. Can I put bacitracin on her?

Clean and dry her vent area. Trim the fluff to remove as much as possible around the vent. Use vaseline around the vent and not just a little dab. Make sure there is enough there to coat and cover the pecked skin and to slide off with the poops.

Can I use A&D ointment or Aquaphor on her tushy? We're out of vaseline.

I've been applying A&D to her behind. She's eating, drinking, and pooing normally, but her poor little vent is crusty. Any suggestions?
