Hi I'm new to chickens and i currently have 9 day old chicks (about a week old) can anyone help me to identify what breed and sex could they be ? Male or female ? Thanks in advance..

1. Black one i believe is a female not sure what breed .. (hatched from a Brownish egg)

2.The blonde/orangie one with a brown spot on it's head i believe it's a girl and an easter egger (hatched in a greenish egg)

3.Orange i believe is a Pullet but i'm not about the breed (hatched from Brownish/tan egg)

4. Blonde Chick i believe it's a boy and it's sibling possibly the orange one since they both seem to be exactly the same in size and only difference is one is blonde and one is orange and the orange #3 seems to have more feathers (they are bigger than rest of chicks) ..(hatched from a brownish/tan egg)

Great photos, very cute! I agree it's too early to tell at that age; you'll need to wait until about 6-9 weeks for physical clues (when you might get crowing or differences in feathering). Some can tell sex from the legs and feet but I find them really hard to tell apart! I have personally found behaviour can provide clues at a much earlier age (but no guarantees): the startle reflex of cockerels is often to stand upright and alert, while pullets will crouch; cockerels are often friendlier and easier to catch and hold (for human males anyway); cockerels will play-fight with each other and chase pullets. I like to handle them and spend time with them and get to know them as individuals. But, like people, they don't all stick to gender stereotypes.

Thank you they tend to fight like little cockerels but im not sure yet as if they are roos or not. i know for sure the blondish one now is the biggest in size and feet are the biggest of the 4 it is growing black spots here and there like a Dominoe it's voice is also different in sound than the rest is kind of deeper but sounds too funny and cute.. the others have a high pitch voice in form and more femenine.. but not sure.. yeah they get me confused when they chest fight as some look like girls .. Thank You! :thumbsup
