ok, so I have a unique situation. Thursday I popped in 24 eggs into my styrofoam auto turner. Afterward, a friend of mine asked me to incubate some eggs for him...I obliged but now I realize I didnt think this through.

Once I get to day 18 of the 1st batch I'll be on day 15 of the 2nd batch.

Do I stop turning at day 18 of the 1st for everyone?
Then when they hatch, I know its lockdown for 2nd batch but can I go in and remove the chicks that hopefully hatch from the 1st hatch and then let 2nd hatch do its thing?

Yup, just lock them all down together. They don't need to be turned after the first week anyway.

You will definitely want to stop turner the first batch on the 18th day, but the second batch will still need to be turned. You can probably get away with turner 3x a day by hand if you have the time.
I think it is probably okay to remove the chicks from the first batch when they hatch. I had eggs that I set to incubate after a hen sat on the for a few days and then give up and they hatched a few days apart and it was fine when I removed the chicks. It is probably better than letting them flop all over the other eggs!
One thing you might want to think about is how humid it is going to be after the first batch hatches before the second. It might be okay because the chicks will probably be hatching during the lockdown of the second batch. It probably depends on how humid your incubator and the surrounding air is, but maybe some else knows more about this?
Hope it all works out and you get lots of little fluffs!

THanks. The last batch I did a while ago, I had a hard time getting the humidity up much anyway. The styrofoam incubator doesnt hold much. I'll cross my fingers!

Don't turn them, it's totally unnecessary. You can definitely remove the first chicks, just mist in there with some warm water to bump the humidity back up when you're done removing them.

Stopping the turning on day 14(?) for the second batch should be fine.
Don't bump up the humidity for the first batch until you get your first pip.
Trace your air cells when candling on days 7-10-14-18 to help adjust humidity

I've never heard this before (still considering myself a novice)...what does tracing the air cells do?
