Writing a paper about Raising Bantam Chickens. That's the topic. I am not that great of a writer, and just want help any friend or what not I ask either want to do it for me, or they just say pay someone to write it. I know a lot about bantams, but I just can't word it to sound English 3 honors material. We have to use parenthetical citation and the works cited page. Here is my outline, it's not official format. Honest, but constructive critisism if offered

Conclusion:

Under Breeds you could do Heritage breeds vs non heritage breeds. Also could do a part on meat birds vs. average farm birds. Just a thought as it would add an little known bit of facts that the avergae person has no clue about as far as what they get at the grocery store. You could also add in somewhere about home raised eggs vs. grocery store eggs. It would probably impress the teacher more than just chickens in general. Chickens as a general subject is very broad. I don't know how many words/pages you are required to have, but if it were me, I would focus on some aspect of raising chickens rather than try to cover everything in a paper. Lord knows it would be very difficult to narrow everything down when there have been entire books written just on backyard raising. Good luck on your paper. You can do it!!

ETA: DUH! This is supposed to be about bantams...lol. I guess the meat bird aspect is out, but there are heritage bantams right?

I know there are true bantams, which have no larger counterpart. I have the topic approved so I can't change it

Grades are: 4 pages get you a C, 5 a B, and 6 an A, 10 point TNR font, double spaced, 2 line header.

I have typed up this. Opinions? This is the exposition and first paragraph. I know the hook isn't strong, but I don't see a quote or rhetorical question that would tie everything together...

When beginning to deliberate whether or not to raise bantam chickens there are many questions that need to be answered and multiple steps before bringing home chicks or incubating eggs. Raising bantam chickens is considered a great joy by many people. According to Melissa Morgan, an avid bantam breeder, unlike standard poultry, who are raised for egg and meat production, bantams are raised for ornamental and companionship reasons. Knowing common facts about care, breeds, behavior, pests, and legality of the chickens are main components in raising bantam chickens.
Before committing to raising your own chickens, it is vital to read state and local ordinances regarding livestock. The ability of owning chickens depends on the zoning of the property and in the case of renting, if there are clauses in the lease allowing you to own livestock. Since backyard chickens are a growing trend, many subdivisions have allowed for small flocks; it is up to the owner to research the rules and regulations about the containment and quantity of birds. If your residence does not allow poultry there are steps you can take to try legalizing owning chickens; start by gathering the approval of neighbors and landowners surrounding the property. Start circulating a petition and attempt to include government icons in your documentation; after gathering support, approach the City Hall and request an appeal of the ordinance. In some townships, to get a permit for owning livestock neighbor permission is required in written form. Notifying neighbors of how you plan to contain the animals, dispose of dropping, and diffuse any noise will be reassuring.
