Need help

Hi there I am new to having ducks and ducklings and right now i have a 3day old duckling with a compound fracture and am not to sure what to do with it I spoke to a vet who said not to do anything just leave it but that was before I knew it had a compound fracture does anyone what the best thing I can is? Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks

Is it fully broken or just cracked?

If it's fully broken, it will need to be set or immobilized somehow... if just a crack in the bone, then probably not much that you can do... lots of water therapy might help though, gets weight off the leg and should ease pain...
