i posted earlier about my gander. He’s not at all eating anymore nor will he even stand and he’s acting almost blind. We’ve been rubbing his crop but how would one tell it’s impacted?
Could he also have worms? I’m really worried as he’s almost acting blind??

Any ideas??? He doesn’t care for the dog and doesn’t even blink for him now currently and isn’t walking and really can’t stand at all and falls over . I’m very very worried!

It doesn't sound like worms to me.
An impacted crop may appear swollen and may feel full or slightly bulge out.
For now, I would recommend keeping him somewhere comfortable and try giving him some electrolytes/vitamins and keep him hydrated.

Could he have eaten something toxic?
(my geese are always trying to eat things they shouldn't) If so, start a toxin flush asap

I would also recommend you try to see a vet if possible. This sounds most like an infection that may need to be treated with antibiotics ( I saw your other post and it seems like he hasn't been feeling well for the past few days so I would suspect an infection). I hope he gets better soon.

He’s now just laying there pretty much on his side and won’t eat or drink at all. It’s like he’s not even there... not responding to anything... I don’t have access to a vet tonight as we live pretty much far from everything.

How would I go about giving those things if he’s not drinking?
Thanks

He keeps throwing his neck around now and slams his wings down and flops. He’s dying I imagine. This is so hard to watch. Didn’t think I’d become so attached...

If you have a powdered electrolyte mix like sav-a-chick, mix it up stronger than normal with less water. You will need to carefully give him electrolytes to drink with a droppers and be careful not to let him choke on it( so make sure not to forcefully squirt the electrolyte solution down his throat). I have a goose that regularly needs electrolytes, but doesn't like to take it, so I mix up a lot of electrolytes in a small amount of water to get him to finish it sooner.

Thanks. I just replied before you posted. He just died... it was so sad to watch and not be able to do much to help him.
