I have a chicken that started laying eggs yesterday, i have 4 more her age I know I need to start them on the egg laying food, but I have 3 younger chicks around 14 weeks in age in the coop with them, will thst food hurt them? Idk what to do?

All that you have to do is to provide oyster shell free choice where the layers can easily access it.

Hi! I think your question is liable To be answered with different opinions. Mine, however, is that your layer should be fine on the growers feed for another few weeks, as long as you are offering plenty of Oyster Shell. You should be able to find it online, at chewy, amazon, or any farm store website, or in a real feed store. My two layers are on Chick Grower, and are making fine eggs because they have oyster shell available. The chicks will not eat the oyster shell, as only the birds who need it will take it.
