Hi everyone! I need some advice regarding my hen. She has been acting strangely lately – she mostly just sits still with both legs stretched forward (it looks like she's sitting on her butt).
Her condition:
  • Eating/Drinking: She eats and drinks normally (I bring it directly to her).
  • Droppings: Normal, no diarrhea.
  • Abdomen: Not bloated, feels normal to the touch.
  • Supplements: I've been giving her NutriSel Plus(vitamins/electrolytes) in her water for a few days now.
She has no visible injuries, no swollen legs, and no signs of scaly leg mites. Has anyone dealt with this before? Could it be a vitamin deficiency that just needs more time to clear up, or something else (like Marek's or something neurological)?
Thanks for any help or shared experiences!"
Last photo is with her sister yesterday(she is on the left)

She can stand up and run,but when other chicken came closer to her she just sits like that. She has also a little bit problems with her balance

Hi,

Have there been any additions to your flock in the past couple of months, or any neighbors nearby that you've heard had Marek's in their flock? Without a test, it's hard to say one way or the other, but the fact that she can stand up and run around without issue doesn't sound like Marek's to me. I could be wrong though, but it seems when it causes legs to distend, that's a permanent thing they can't control.

What I'd do is give her a 1/4 of a human B-complex once a day for a week and see if she shows any improvement.

Has she been laying eggs yet?

How old is she?

Check her crop first thing in the morning to make sure it's emptying?

What do you feed?

If she's having balance issues, in addition to B-Complex, I'd also give her 400IU Vitamin E daily.
The NutriSel Plus has vitamins, but it's hard to nail down the analysis for that product. It's also dependent on her drinking enough of the supplemented water for it to be a benefit, so giving vitamins directly can ensure she's getting what she needs.
