So I've looked and looked for information and I cant seem to find some answers so hopefully someone can give me some advise!!

I have 5 geese one male and one female that are older and 3 that are born this year and my older female has recently stared nesting she has a few eggs she's laying on and I understand not to move her or anything she seems to be comfortable where she is. Now idk if the eggs are fertile im sure they are cause I've seen her and her Mr. get down ;) lol and she has a major change of attitude. but she did almost die the other day she was very dehydrated so I had to move her and put her in water. she's completely fine now I just worry about her.....I love my geese!!! and want to start raising them :)
now my major question is how can I help her and what kind of help can I give her?
my next question is how long can the eggs go without being sat on? she's constantly on them unless im up there feeding and watering and forcing her to move so she can get a drink and stretch.....
ANY IDEAS?????

thanks!

Make sure that she gets off the eggs daily to eat, drink, and poop. Hopefully her nest is in a protected place and is shaded/protected from direct sunlight. Good luck. The goose and gander will know what to do when the goslings hatch.

Make sure you get her off her nest daily kick her out and make her eat, drink and poop. Some will not move off the nest and this is not good for them. I have even taken to put the food right in the nest with her so she eats but still kick them off the nest daily to relieve themselves, eat and drink. Make sure she has some water to bathe in as well she will need to get clean. They do not spend all their time on the nest so do not worry about kicking her out to do her business. When she is done will go right back on them.

Is she in a protected area? Is she in the shade? Make sure she is in a protected area and shaded so she does not over heat.

Thanks for the advise ruru!
She is doing good. She has her nest up against a wood fence that is shaded all day and blocks the wind the only thing is doesn't block is the rain. Which she doesn't let me stay up they're long enough to put something over her cause she had a change of attitude. But I think a little rain can't hurt her right?

She should be in an enclosed area with her nest so that the rain does not get on the eggs. That can make the eggs not hatch. Plus she should be penned in at night so the predators do not get her. People new to geese do not always know that all our bird critter's can be killed by predators so that is why we have pens for them that the predators can not get into!
