Go for it. I think the hardest part for me is the turning a live chicken into a dead one. Mostly because, no matter how hard I try not to get attached, I still am a little. Mainly because they all have their own unique personalities, and I've come to enjoy them. Right now I have a couple that even have names. The broody is Betty Blue - basically short for Betty the Blue Laced Red Wyandotte. She's made a pet of herself despite my best efforts to avoid it. She comes up to me (looking for food, I'm sure), lets me pet her, follows me around. She may just get to live out her life however long that may be. The other one with a name is Pigeon - she's a medium grey with a dark grey head, just like the pigeons that live in our silo. Anyway, I will say it again. I am sure you will be able to do it just fine. Not fun, but it's part of Flock Management.
