Rebecca, see how similar Tessie & Fancy Free look? I would love to know if Tessie is FF, only to keep in contact with her, because she's a great, gentle horse and I wanted to know what happened to her.

Buff,

I do not think Fancy and Tessie are the same horse... if you look at the star (white marking on the forehead), you will see that Fancy and Tessie's is a different shape.....

Chestnut is the most common color for Quarter Horses and a Star is a common marking.... sorry.

Alright, just to humor me, here's one more. I see here that the star is right above the rosette. I'll quit now. It's just that Fancy was such a great horse...

Fancy Free was beautiful...I hope my girl turns out to be as good as she was!
I will take some close up pics today (of feet, legs, hips, and head) so y'all can tell me what you think

To me they look like different horses - more difference in star shape and location than you'd normally see from summer vs winter coat, and different looking leg and foot conformation. For different horses though I would certainly agree they are quite a lot alike

Rebecca, did you happen to notice a scar on the front part of her rear leg that I asked about on Post # 60?

I was taught from the beginning never to coil the lead in your hands. If for whatever reason the horse takes off or pulls hard, your hands and fingers could get caught in those coils and bad things could happen.

I guess everyone is taught different but I was always taught that it was dangerous to coil the rope up in your hands. Not saying you are wrong, just stating that I was taught differently.
