First of all, hello, I'm new here as of just now! I recently moved from a subdivision in NE Ohio to a 17 acre horse farm in middle TN, so that I could realize my dream of keeping my horses at home instead of boarding! Another dream was to have chickens- so during TSC chick days, I acquired 4 bantams!

So here are my babies now, and I absolutely adore them! I have two questions:

Firstly, what breeds do I have, and can you guys tell the sex yet? I'm guessing two are Sebrights.

Second, I know the big silkie is a silkie lol. But is he/she really a bantam? It's funny how much larger she is! Did she end up in the bantam bin by mistake, or are bantam silkies typically large?

Thanks so much, I look forward to meeting you all here and learning more about these fantastic birds! I never knew chickens were so wonderful- I love to just sit with them and watch them. I also raised 4 ducklings with the chicks, two Pekin and two Khaki Campbell, I love my babies!

Silkies are considered true bantam[with no standard form] but they can be bigger in size than other bantams, depending on the country they were bred in.

The laced birds are Sebrights and both look female.
Silkies are notoriously hard to sex so no idea on that one.
The other bird is a cockerel and might be an OEGB or something similar.

I agree.
