Need ideas on covering dog kennel for run????????

I have acquired a dog kennel for my run after building my 4x4 ft two story coop. I have 4 pullets now and the kennel is 8ft. wide, 13ft. long, and 6ft. high. I definately want to cover the top due to hawks. Wondering what ideas people have tried and what seems to be the best and most economical.

I too use dog kennel panels for my chickens and call ducks. The hawks are so bad here you can hear them fly into side of panels to nab a call.......
So I purchased the heavy knotted ball field netting off e-bay. It is the type they use for backstops and guaranteed to last at least 8 years.
I was in a pinch and once used the plastic fruit tree netting over a small pen and a hawk dived down and tore right thru it! So do not purchase the cheap stuff!
I also bought a roll of shadecloth at Walmart and ran along one side and over the top for shade. To attach the netting just use zip ties. good luck!

Another thing you can do is keep your eyes peeled on Craigslist for a free kennel and use the panels on top as well. Works great for me for my small dog kennel run but the 22 footer out back will need something else lol
