This cutie showed up in our backyard yesterday - no parents to be found. We have two Welsh Harlequins and I know its not that! Any ideas on a breed? Don't think it is a Mallard since the beak is not black....Any help would be great!
Looks to be an adorable Muscovy duckling in it's first week of life.
Hard to tell for sure from the angle of the pic but does it have a sharp point on the end of it's upper bill.? looks very much like a Scovy ducklings don't think you'd see many magpie duckling roaming around in a neighborhood or country unless it got out of someone back yard.
. I have never seen such a calm and loving duckling so I am so anxious to find out what it is! I know absolutely nothing about muskovy's or anything other than Welsh Harlequins, so I guess I better do some research!
