NEED IMMEDIATE HELP!!!

X2, I give pip to zip 24 hours before going in. Again, I can't stress this enough-IF YOU SEE ANY BLOOD, STOP!!!!! I once killed a chick through uneducated assistance-blood is bad, she's not ready to hatch if there is blood! If there's not any, she's ready to hatch and just can't seem too. Even if she is ready to hatch at pip, the 24 hours of struggle will make her strong enough for life, and she should be fine.
Oh, and every chick ever is 'she' according to me, until proven other wise ;-) Wishful thinking, lol!

To be quite honest, I don't really care what the situation is... don't assist until AT LEAST 24 hours after the pip. In fact, I don't even assist until after all other pipped eggs are hatched. To me it is not worth saving one chick at the possible cost of killing every pipped chick in there.

Okay so I have a chickie!! My 2 yr old daughter named it, as it was her egg. Its name is Rikki. Still waiting on the other egg. I wish more would have made it this far, but 2 outta 6 aint bad for a first timer with a homemade bator. I had to assist cause she wasn't moving just breathing and light cheeping every so often. So hoping she does well and the other egg makes it. Question on it, I put the flashlight beside it in the bator to check for a pip and saw movement like its trying to pip or just really pushing on the membrane in the air sac. But it seems like it cant pip ? It is still moving so I am waiting it out.
And here's Rikki! :)

Congrats!!! Rikki is beautiful!
The other egg should be fine, some take longer than others to hatch.
Rikki'd been struggling long enough, and is probably very glad you helped her!
Cute chuckle, and good luck with the next egg!

Thank you all for the help, advice, well wishes, and just general chicken talk :) this is why I love being a member of BYC. I am proud of little Rikki she is resting now but I am glad my baby has a baby lol and the next one is for my 5 yr old son. Its funny my EE hen is black with silver penciling around her neck and the EE roo is like blue and black with red on his neck head shoulder/ wing area. But Rikki came out white with a thin brown patch on her back and a small piece of one of her wings... It will be interesting to see her feather out. *fingers crossed for a girl*. I have the same wishful thinking mentality as you ;) @MadamPoofyBrow. And Congrats on your Blue Orp baby @AtlantisPeeps
