Need info on culling?

We have a chicken that will most likely need to be put down. We are totaly new to chickens and I know I will not be able to put her down. My husband will have to do it when I'm not home. I know cutting the head off is one way or breaking her neck. What is the eastiest way for a newby to do this. DH hunts and has no problem with killing an animal. Thanks

I truly think the easiest way is a quick chop to the neck with a very very sharp axe or hatchet. It's very quick. If you wrap the bird in a towel, and cover it's face so it can't see, it will be still.....

So sorry you have to go through this.
