Hello. In a few weeks, I am getting 2 baby chicks. I live in Commerce Township (48390) and I need to know if there are any restrictions here on those. I plan on using them for breeding & somewhere down the road selling their eggs. I live in a small subdivision, if that makes a difference. All information is appreciated. Thank you!

Contact your local Animal Control or the Police Department (or the County Sheriff) and they can tell you the regulations that effect you.

Also if your subdivision has a home owners association, you need to check the bylaws or restrictions. Where I live, the HOA allows to have chickens but not peacocks (go figure) I guess it is the noise they make.
