Hey everyone! I had a stray/wild dog get into my coop a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't a pretty sight when it left! 10 chickens dead and torn apart all over the place and 4 more hens missing! Well, the 4 hens finally came back from wherever they hid and I found them perched on the top of the wire out of danger. When I caught them, they were torn up really bad! I stitched up a couple of the worst places and put them in confinement, antibiotics in the water, etc. They are healing very well considering!. My question is this, the torn places on all 4 of them are on the backs where the roo will mount them during breeding. I am afraid of them getting all torn apart again by the roo! What should I do to help prevent this?
Thanks for your help!

I would either move the boys out until they heal, or get some hen aprons. There's someone here that sells them at a very reasonable price. (I've got some from here. Good quality) If you're intrested in the aprons, look under other stuff for sale. I hope your girls get to feeling better soon!
