need nest box ideas for my coop advice or pictures will help

Do you want to build or buy? I use 5 gallon bucket (See the orange Home Depot buckets), some people use kitty litter boxes.

I have a few suggestions. I'll start with the cheap first. I go to the convience stores and get their iol jugs and cut the top out and wash then put wood chips inside. The ones I get have a cardboard box around it. I take the plastic jug out and cut the top off then wash the oil out. Then I redo the cardboard box with a little trumming here and there then put the clean dry plastic "instert back in the box and use bread ties to attach the flaps back to secure the box to keep it from crushing. I'll see about getting some pics for you today.

The second would be to add a edge to your shelf and fill it with wood chips or straw. They will make their own nest.

The third is to use small plastic containers and fill with wood chips or straw. You can get them at any Dollar Store for a few bucks. Or may have some laying around.

I've used all 3 of these ideas and it just depends on the bird as to what they want to use. I let them make their own choice. My Onagadori's like the plastic tubs and my EE's prefer to make their own space on the shelf. My silkie roo likes the plastic tub. (I think he's confused)

I like that bucket idea. My bigger birds might too.

I had thought about using milk crates but have't tried it yet.
