Need opinions please.6 week old mix

well I got up this morning to find little pink waddles on the last little red chick that I had thought was a girl! I'm so frustrated! That puts me down to 2 possible females out of 8. :(

Pink wattles aren't a reliable indication. My black Australorp chicks have always had tiny, but bright red wattles. They will flush when excited or stressed. As long as the comb stays small and yellow, don't worry.

A light pink flush at the base of the comb doesn't mean that the comb is turning red. It means that the chick is 'blushing' either from excitement or some kind of stress. None of your chicks' combs look big enough or red enough for me to say with 100% certainty that they are boys. The wheaten one is a boy because of his feather coloring. A black chest on a wheaten chick is a sure sign of male. You need to wait a few more weeks for the others.
