Help! I talked my mom and stepfather into getting 3-4 chickens (one rooster and a few standard hens...not sure on breed). I looked through the entire coop designs place on BYC plus looked it up on Google...So far I found one (on BYC in this forum, by Georgie17: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=339452) *minus the run that was built onto it). But other than that I can't find any plans/blueprints that suit what I need.

Here are the reiquirements/information:

1. fit 3-4 adult standard chickens
2. protects well from mainly burrowing predators (weasels, etc.)...looking for one that is slightly lifted off the ground so nothing can't burrow under, such as on stilts or something
3. good for cold/hot climates...one with windows/vents for when it gets hot, and also good installation because during the winter it gets really cold here
4. needs nest boxes (about 2-3 would probably work)
5. needs to be simple and fairly easy to build...nothing really fancy but also needs to be durable
6. needs basic coop requirements, obviously, such as a roosting perch, enough room for waterer/feeder, etc.
7. would be nice if it had a door so people could enter, but also I don't mind a smaller coop that isn't able to be walked in (like the coop in the link above)
8. easily cleaned!
9. overall design (shape of roof, etc.) doesn't matter...I should want it to be simple and compact, like the one in he above link
10. doesn't need to be moveable
11. would like it to be as inexpensive as possible...I don't want to spend over $100 on it
12. (Optional) must be able to be decorated!

I'm going to put a welcome sign over the coop door and something else that makes it unique and fun!

13. the area that it would be in is a shaded area at the edge of the woods on flat, grassy ground with quite a bit of space around it
14. I prefer not to have a run on it (because I plan on free ranging the chickens) but if your plan does, feel free to post anyway because the run may be optional

Feel free to post plans/blueprints, advice, pictures, and anything else that may help.

Could you please move it to the "Coop & Run - Design, Construction, & Maintenance" Forum? Thanks!
