Good thoughts your way!

Kudos in cycling your tank and being a good fishkeeper- so many people I know reason that 'it's just a goldfish'.

BIG thumbsup for you!!!

Oh my gosh! You guys rock!! When I originally posted I thought I might get 1 or maybe 2 responses- what I didn't expect
was how much support and great info and kindness and understanding I would get- 3 pages worth for cryin' out loud!
I only have time for a quick update because we have to get to soccer but RIR is doing ok. I had her fast for a day and then
I fed everybody peas. OMGosh- it was like a shark feeding frenzy in there! After soccer today I'll be buying more peas and
some food that'll sink because RIR is more of a surface feeder and maybe she is gulping too much air when she eats. And
with both me and my 5yr old feeding them the chance of her overeating is pretty darn good so from now on DS and I will
feed them together. Thank you- a million thank yous for all the great info and the links and the support- I wish I had time
to thank everybody by name but just know that I am so very grateful to everyone who replied! Y'all just rock!!!!

Prayers of RIR. You are not alone. You are talking to a grown women who had her hubby drive her and her 1 year old egg shaped fantail goldfish named Little Fatty, to a pet store, 40 min away, in a cooler with his pond water to be diagnosed and get the right meds. ( He was always easy to catch, he's swim right up to you and you could scoop him up out of the big pond, he took 2 hands to pick up. ) Well after a week of taking him out and giving him a salt bath 2 X a day he got better.............. then 2 weeks later a hawk took him from the pond....

Nothing wrong with being attached to fish. We are attached to our bettas and guppies.
Hope all goes well with your goldfish.
