Need Prayers For My Father In Law UPDATELATEST SAD UPDATE PAGE 3

We recently lost my Mother in Law in February from cancer. She was 86. Now yesterday my father in law fell coming out of a resturant and broke his hip. When they took him to the hospital, the doctors informed my DH that Dad has Lung cancer and that it has spread to his brain( he had had an MRI that day). The doctors scheduled the hip surgery anyway. Today they gave him a CT scan and told my DH that he has cancer all through his body. DH called me tonight and said Dad has decided to have the surgery tomorrow. His children told him about the cancer and he says he can beat it. (didn't tell him how serious it was). What gets me is he has been going to the doctors for months and was hospitalized once for anemia. He has blood tests all the time to check his levels. He also has a nebulizer to help him breathe. He just had a clean bill of health from the cancer institute last Novemeber. I just can't imagine how all these doctors missed some sign that he has cancer. I wish I could be down there with DH I would certainly want to know why. I keep telling DH to ask questions but he is so upset I don't think he is thinking right now. Anyway I would appreciate your prayers for Dad as he undergoes this surgery. They have told them its a 50-50 chance of survival. Please pray for him to survive this surgery. Thank you Micki

Thank you all DH just called awhile ago. They have postponed the surgery until tomorrow. His doctor said he suffered a mild heart attack and that was what caused him to fall. So everything is still a wait and see. I know hes waiting to join Mom. He has said he knew it would be hard but he never thought he would be this lonely. Even with all the family around him he misses his best friend of 75 years. Please continue to pray for him. Thank you Micki

Lord, I thank You for this family and their love for their father.Give them the strength to get through this situation with joy as Your word promises.

Abba God please guide these doctors and every staff member that has anything to do with any part of care for this gentleman having this surgery. Give them wisdom and discernment. Make their paths light.

Holy Spirit pray for me as I do not understand everything about cancer surgery and I am not related to this gentleman and do not know just how to pray for him perfectly.

Jesus, I thank You for the stripes ALREADY given for iniquity, pain, illness and sins. Cover this loved man with that blood. Forgive any sins that have not been asked for.

I ask believing in Jesus' most precious name for God's will to be done, Amen.
